Why I Do What I Do

My earliest memories involve sitting at my Granny’s kitchen table as she prepared breakfast, complete with hot lemonade and a generous dose of extra Vitamin C. Granny was what we would now call an herbalist—well-versed in vitamins, minerals, and their applications. As a curious five-year-old, I caught the bug to learn the truth: what worked best, and why.

One morning, still in my childhood, I woke up with torticollis, or "wryneck," which left my neck spasmed to one side, stuck at an odd angle. The pain was unimaginable!  Any attempt to move felt like a knife, covered in hot salt, twisting in my neck.

Time stood still as I mustered all the courage I had in my young self to get out of bed and find my mom, who was a nurse. The pain was so intense that I wouldn't let her touch me. Mom called Granny, who suggested, “Bring him to me, and I’ll take him to my doctor.” Doctor Kramiin, a former electrical engineer, had developed instruments that detected nerve interference and inflammation. He used these tools to pinpoint the interferences affecting me and explained the corrections he would make in a way I could understand. He quickly adjusted the subluxations, and the intense pain vanished.

Thinking the treatment was over, I started to get up, but Dr. Kramiin stopped me, saying, “I'm not done yet. There's an issue in your lower back.” I replied, “But my lower back doesn’t hurt.” He explained that dysfunction doesn’t always cause pain, especially along motor nerves. After he adjusted my lower back, I miraculously stopped wetting the bed at night. His treatments allowed me to understand and experience the reality of how our bodies work.

Dr. Kramiin planted a powerful idea in my mind: sensory nerves allow us to feel, while motor nerves control movement but don’t transmit pain. This truth ignited my lifelong study of functional neurology and how nerves impact every part of our body and our health.

Throughout my life, whenever I visited an allopathic doctor (traditional Western medicine), I often had to see a chiropractor afterward to address the underlying causes. I realized early on that allopathic approaches weren’t always the best answer for me, leading me to explore better paths to wellness and healing, helping as many people as I could along the way.
